Hello!

Thanks for taking the interest to look here. Since you have  I’ll tell you about myself, my website and what this blog is all about.

My name is Robin Lyons, a 23 year old fascinated by communication and expression. I have always been creative, using my imagination from a young age to express myself whether it was through painting, drawing, or in more recent years photography, animation and video. From being artistically engaged from a young age I have become increasingly fascinated by the incredible way expression can innovate and communicate the way we think, feel and understand life.

My blog “Adventures Into Expression” has a number of functions. Firstly the blog functions as  a place for myself  to document visual expression from different artists which I find inspiring. Secondly it functions as being a tool for me to respond to my influences and keep track of my artistic development. As the blog develops I hope to create a bigger picture of myself and understand where my ideas come from whilst at the same time  exploring a wide range of expressions. Whilst my blog fulfills these rolls My website acts as an environment for me to exhibit my finished artwork collectively within the context of my own design and aesthetic.

My Academic life has gained me a 1st Class honors in Digital Arts And Video Production, and more recently an MA in Video Production And Film Studies from London Collage of Music And Media. Through completing both of these courses I have gained a broad knowledge of the contemporary world of visual arts, communication, film theory, design and also a practical range of skills in regards to Digital Art and Video Production. Recently I was Commissioned by XL Record Label to make a music video for the band I Was A Cubscout . My film “Leaves” has been broadcast on Spanish Television on the Arts channel “Canal Autor”, for more information on this you can read here.

I am always working on, and looking for new projects to get involved with,

If you’d like to Contact me please drop me an email at blackbirdwives@gmail.com,

Thanks,

Robin.
